Jonah 1:10-11
Jonah 1:10-11 King James Version (KJV)
10 Then were the men exceedingly afraid, and said unto him. Why hast thou done this? For the men knew that he fled from the presence of the LORD, because he had told them.
11 Then said they unto him, What shall we do unto thee, that the sea may be calm unto us? for the sea wrought, and was tempestuous.

10 Then the men were very afraid. They asked Jonah, “What terrible thing did you do?” They knew Jonah was running away from the Lord because Jonah had told them.
11 The wind and the waves of the sea were becoming much stronger. So the men said to Jonah, “What should we do to you to make the sea calm down?”

10 Fear was because they were all going to die if nothing was done because of Jonah. They were also upset with Jonah. The testimony Jonah had on this boat was that he was running from God rather then serving Him, we should never let our testimony be this because it keeps from coming to the faith.
11 They knew they needed to do something otherwise they would die, they look to Jonah because its his fault and he was the one to go before God because they served other gods.
