Boggles the mind why the "experts" can so casually cast aside the Rev 12 sign.  I mean, no fear that the Hand of God placed it in the heavens and they choose to ignore.

For me it doesn't boggle my mind at all.  It's what 'walking by faith' is all about.  So often (since the days Adam walked the earth) mankind has been shellacking the simple message of salvation with his own understanding and veneer of works.

The error is compounded each generation until the doctrines of men are taught more often than the simple truth of things.

Regardless, the Lord saves us in spite of ourselves.

The Great Sign will be there for all to see ~ most especially for the Jews heading into Daniel's 70th.

Yep, going along how the Lord knew it would go!

Another thought was that there would be a mad rush to the sites and teachers knowledgeable on the Rev 12 sign.  That the Rev 12 teachers and leaders would be on talk radio non stop, they would be lecturing at churches and conferences, busy continually into the fall, does not seem to be that way. Just like when Christ was born, most probably missing the event of a lifetime.
