In the previous article concerning the Great Sign of Revelation 12, a 400 day connection was found to Yom Kippur 2017 via a conjunction of Venus and Jupiter on August 27, 2016. However, there is another sign to note. It is the solar eclipse of August 21, 2017. From this eclipse it is 40 days until Yom Kippur 2017, which is on September 30.  Before the modern Hebrew calendar, from Elul 1 until the Day of Atonement (Yom Kippur) it was 40 days and known as the Season of Repentance.  The modern Hebrew Calendar gives us 39 days from Elul 1 to Yom Kippur. The total solar eclipse of August 21, 2017 essentially begins this traditional 40 day Season of Repentance.

The diagram on the right depicts the moment of the eclipse of the sun at the heart of Leo next to Regulus. Thirty days later Venus will conjunct with Regulus just before the Feast of Trumpets. A total solar eclipse just before Elul 1 last occurred on August 11, 1999. The next total solar eclipse after 2017 at the time of Elul 1 is August 12, 2026. However, only the eclipse of 2017 is next to Regulus. Since the rebirth of Israel in 1948, no other total solar eclipse occurs next to Regulus (star of the King) kicking off the Season of Repentance. One of the problems in initially including this sign was for the fact that it will not be visible in the lands of the Bible. As shown on the map below, it is largely limited to the Americas. However, the eclipse’s location near Regulus seems to be one of the more significant details of the sign. However, after the release of Jonathan Cahn’s, The Harbinger, too often the significance of America has been dismissed. America was a nation founded by Christians for religious liberty that has benefited the world through missionary outreach. Is it not appropriate that at the close of the Church age that this eclipse be a sign impacting the area that has been important to the Church at its end? Not for 2 plus years, but this eclipse is fascinating.  More warning from the Lord.

Two years from today, on Aug. 21, 2017, North Americans will get an opportunity to observe nature's greatest sky show.

The Great American Total Solar Eclipse darkens the skies all the way from Oregon to South Carolina on August 21, 2017. The expanse of the shadow along a stretch of land is about 70 miles wide. The eclipse has a magnitude of 1.0306 and is visible along the narrow corridor throughout the heartland of the United States as if it is ‘dividing’ it in half. The Longest Duration of ‘Totality’ will be 2 minutes 41.6 seconds at the map coordinates of 37°35′0″N 89°7′0″W. This point is in theShawnee National Forest just south of Carbondale, Illinois. The Greatest Extent or Maximum is at the map coordinates of 36°58′0″N 87°40′18″W. This point is near Cerulean, Kentucky between Hopkinsville and Princeton, Kentucky.

Thinking of driving 90 miles for totality ~ it will depend on the weather.  I have until noon to decide.

100% totality here in Dannebrog, Nebraska.  It was totally awesome.


All the videos of it and the photographs of it are really a pale imitation of the real McCoy with the filters and even quick looks naked eyed glances.. unlike the stuff of the videos and photographs that I have been catching since that event today.


Started recording though at 11:35am... but my wifi connections and my son's drone radio remote fubared just about the time of the totality.  All the snap shots and video I got were pretty much junk.  Would have liked to have had an hydrogen II filter along with the eclipse glasses -- might have gotten some really decent shots through my VCR camera and my smartphone cam.  Maybe next time.


It was AWESOME.


Spent yesterday at the Park in Dannebrog, attended a Pawnee PowWow and dancers and speakers.  The leadership of that tribe are all Christians and spoke of Jesus and his Father in much praise.

Also was able to see Venus during the totality, looked for Mercury but it was not dark enough to see it also.
