This was excellent ~ I was disappointed however in his deliverance of the Gospel message at the end.


Like so many, he takes the word REPENT and applies it to our sin, indicating that we must DO SOMETHING (that's "work") for our salvation ~ instead of seeing how the word is actually defined in the Greek ~ metanoeō ~ it means to change one's mind.  e.g., to change one's mind about:  Christ!


Salvation is by faith through God's grace (Eph 2:8-9) there is no "work" we can or must do for salvation, and that includes anything having to do with sin.  SIN Is WHY we NEED salvation.  


Avoiding sin should be the CONSEQUENCE of salvation ~ but even after salvation, we inevitably sin.  That's why we need 1 John 1:9  "If we confess (simply to "name" or cite) our sins He is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and cleanse us from all unrighteousness."  


Notice the word "just"  ~  God is absolute righteousness and justice ~ the justice came at the cross, borne by Yeshua ~ when we name our sins to God in confession we are acknowledging them and seeking legal remedy ~ citing a legal case that has been judged and is now a precedent.  He agrees with the precedent and restores us to fellowship based on that legal case.


If we don't confess, or ask for forgiveness, we remain out of fellowship ~ we do not LOSE our salvation, but we do remain outside the area of increased blessing.


It's like not returning books to the library ~ fines accrue and ya' cannot borrow any books.  Ya' return the books and/or pay the fines and your library card is in perfect working order again!


A poor example perhaps, but that's the general drift of it.

It's hopeful and there can be no denying we are living on the slippery edge of the slope heading for the final days ~ I'm ready whenever the Lord is.
