Fulness
Fulness (from KJV)
There was a "fulness of the time" when Jesus was born. And there will be a "fulness" of the Gentiles...
"fulness of the time"
But when the fulness of the time was come, God sent forth his Son, made of a woman, made under the law, To redeem them that were under the law, that we might receive the adoption of sons. Galatians 4:4-5
"fulness of the Gentiles"
For I would not, brethren, that ye should be ignorant of this mystery, lest ye should be wise in your own conceits; that blindness in part is happened to Israel, until the fulness of the Gentiles be come in. Romans 11:25

That in the dispensation of the fulness of times he might gather together in one all things in Christ, both which are in heaven, and which are on earth; even in him: Ephesians 1:10 The Galatians 4:4 verse is the days scripture over on Concord Bridge. I am familar with "fulness of the Gentiles" when the rapture is expected, but had just noticed the "fulness" had come when Jesus was born. |

Re: Fulness
Whoa that is interesting Tryph. Perhaps fullness of the Jew had come so Jesus came, the time marker for the birth of the Messiah is the fullness?? But what or what number is the fullness??

Re: Fulness
I would think the answer is incripted in the Word someplace.
Thus speak unto the Levites, and say unto them, When ye take of the children of Israel the tithes which I have given you from them for your inheritance, then ye shall offer up an heave offering of it for the LORD, even a tenth part of the tithe. And this your heave offering shall be reckoned unto you, as though it were the corn of the threshingfloor, and as the fulness of the winepress. Numbers 18:26-27

Re: Fulness
Hmmm, I covered that Numbers verse in my daily Bible reading yesterday Tyo. I read Numbers 17,18,19 - divine!
(That was going around in my head)
"God created everything by number, weight and measure." --Sir Issac Newton

Hhmm... so that covers creation, what about the fullness (fulness) of the Jews or the Gentiles? It must be a number, but what number or what is formula for the number? Pondering again...

A tithe is 10%, maybe then 1%?Tryphosa wrote:I would think the answer is incripted in the Word someplace.

Re: Fulness
Seems Chuck Missler said something like, "for fun do a word search." Thanks for contributing to this thread Tyo. I am intrigued, and will keep adding as I find.
Fulness in KJV & fullness in the other Bible versions.

Re: Fulness
The Levites had no 'inheritance' apart from a tenth of the tithe and the 10 sanctuary cities.
I'm sure there is a "number" but only God would know it. It's impossible to calculate how many Jews have ever been saved; the same for Gentiles.
A quantity of time, on the other hand, might be doable.
Comparing with prophecy that's been fulfilled, etc. ~ but the 'signs' the Lord has spelled out is probably sufficient enough ~ we are not commanded to know the day, only to not be surprised.

And in the latter time of their kingdom, when the transgressors are come to the full, a king of fierce countenance, and understanding dark sentences, shall stand up. Daniel 8:23
are come to the full תָּמַם tamam

Re: Fulness
More on fullness days
So it was, that while they were there, the days were completed for her to be delivered. Luke 2:6
Now Elizabeth’s full time came for her to be delivered, and she brought forth a son.
Luke 1:57
A pregnant woman looks full also
If I remember correctly, it is the (unseen) hormones reach a certain level which starts labor. So a hormone determines the fullness.

Re: Fulness
I recall Jack Kelley commenting on the 'fulness' of the gentiles. He said the word was used as the full complement of a ship's crew and ships couldn't sail until they were fully crewed.
As far as the church's full complement ~ he said he had no idea what God's number was, but likely it was a number with a lot of of 7's.
