Ms. Sylvester's message dovetails with the 'faith' issue in payer ~ we are to pray 'believing' ~ in the same manner that we are saved.

"Be still and know that I am God: I will be exalted among the heathen, I will be exalted in the earth." Psalm 46:10.

Our Heavenly Father wants us to trust Him. In these dark days we are experiencing, we must hold tight to our faith. We must also remember the warning issued to us. This is particularly applicable to today as there are very many distortions of the true Gospel of Yeshua being put forth as "truth" today.
"Do not be deceived; God is not mocked for whatsoever a man soweth, that shall he also reap." Galatians 6:7 (see also James 1:16Hosea 10:13, I Cor 6:9, 2 Cor 9:6).
We read in Job:
"As I have observed, those who plow evil and those who sow trouble reap it." Job 4:8.
We must be unyielding to what the world may be telling us. But, we must be ever-yielding to the Lord.
"As for God, His way is perfect." Psalm 18:30

Our Father's ways are perfect. We, as Believers, should constantly be looking to Him for the perfection of our faith and we should grow daily in our knowledge of God and striving to walk in His perfect will. We should always remember that we are not to be partakers of anything of this world.
We may not always like, want, or agree with what happens in our lives. But, God's way is perfect. This world is growing ever more evil. Our faith is being tested. The Lord promised to give us peace if our minds are stayed on Him, if we trust Him.
"Thou wilt keep hiim in perfect peace, whose mind is stayed on thee: because he trusteth in thee." Isaiah 26:3.
The verse, "...What time I am afraid, I will trust in thee." Psalm 56:3 has become one many Believers remember daily. It is encouraging and it is comforting. The storms in life: whether weather-related or otherwise are times to trust in God. Every day is time to trust in God. No exceptions.
In these last days, those Believers who are standing firm upon God's Word, His holy instructions, are being attacked and living in an immoral and corrupt world is a challenge.
"The Lord is nigh unto all them that call upon Him, to all that call upon Him in truth." Psalm 145:18.
This is a promise and our Father's promises are true and we can depend upon them. If we call upon Him only in the hard times, what does this say about our faith in Him? Praise Him in the storms of life for this is when He manifests Himself in ways that are spectacular. We, in our weakness, look to Him for strength and He always gives more than we need. But, we must trust with an unwavering trust.
Often we hear the words, "All I can do is pray" from many who are facing various trials and challenges in life. Our very first action should be a prayer in all circumstances. This should never be our "last resort."
"Let not mercy and truth forsake thee: bind them [God's commandments, instructions] about thy neck; write them upon the table of thine heart: so shall thou find favour and good understanding in the sight of God and man. Trust in the Lord with all thine heart and lean not unto thine own understanding. In all thy ways acknowledge Him, and He will direct thy path. Be not wise in thine own eyes: fear [respect, awe, reverence] the Lord and depart from evil. It shall be health to thy navel and marrow to thy bones." Proverbs 3:3-8.
This is also a promise. There are no qualifications on it. It is what it says. In ALL your ways acknowledge Him. Then, He will direct your path. We should never try to believe we know more than He does, but look to Him for wisdom and for understanding and depart from evil. This will make sure we have this blessing.
Why would we have trouble or problems in learning to lean upon the Lord? Our problems stem from the fact that we are often willing to trust in everything else but God. Our own solutions are not God's solutions. He knew us before the beginning of all things and He has a specific plan and purpose for our lives. Our solutions can never be the right solutions.
When something goes wrong in our lives, our response is either "fight or flight." We don't pour our hearts out to God. It never occurs to us to "Be still and know that I am God."
To do as our Lord has instructed us means we have to crucify our old self, the carnal nature. We cannot give in to our instincts. Our first inclination or reaction to any situation is from our human nature. Daily, surrender to our Father and keep our minds upon Him, His Word and stay in prayer. In this way, we allow the Holy Spirit to guide, teach and comfort us.
God is always our refuge and our strength. If you don't know Jesus Christ, Yeshua, the promised Messiah and soon-coming King, you should meet Him! He is wonderful!
